 Examples of eCommerce types

Business to Consumer (B2C):

B2C is the most known and used type of eCommerce. It is when a company sells its products or services to end users directly. Examples for B2C, Walmart, Amazon, Airbnb, Starbucks, Netflix and Apple.

Business to Business (B2B):

When a company markets its products or services directly to other businesses, this is referred to as business to business (B2B). Examples for B2B, Skype, SalesForce, HootSuite, etc.

Consumer to Consumer (C2C):

Consumers sell goods or services directly to other consumers in C2C eCommerce. Third-party websites are frequently used to make this possible. Examples for C2C, eBay, Esty, Craigslist, etc. These eCommerce marketplaces enable smaller businesses, as well as hobbyists, to sell their products at their own prices without the need for their own online storefront.

Consumer to Business (C2B):

Individuals sell goods and services directly to businesses in the C2B eCommerce business model. This is most prevalent on websites that allow individuals to share work or services in which they are skilled. Examples for C2B, Freelancers, Contractors, and Gig Workers.
