Website creation Journey Part 2 (Contact page)

Image
Contact & Support Contact & support pages are important in an e-com website, as it enhances the customer's experience with the website. Showing that you care about your customers and providing support for them is crucial to make them feel confident about your business. I tried to make it simple for customers to contact us when they want to. So, I made two pages to helping customers with any issues they face during shopping with us. Firstly, "Contact us" page is a simple page, I included variety contact options such as phone number, social media, and address. Secondly, "Support" page is for more important issues that the customer might face, when the user enters their message it will automatically be sent to our email to try and solve it asap. In addition, there is a useful tool that I added to website which is "Live Chat". I find it very useful and enhances customer's experience during shopping.

About us page Research

Image
About us  About us page is one on the crucial pages that an e-com website should have, as it illustrates the goals of the company, and indicates its ways in managing things and taking care of customers. In addition, About us pages usually contains the background and history of the company which helps in increasing the customer's confidence in this company.  In this post I will discuss 2 about us pages in two difficult websites and see what's common and what they included in theirs. https://ao.com/help-and-advice/my-ao/about-us https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/content/about Both of these 'About us' pages are common in including the company's history and how they are managing stuff and taking care of their employees, customers, and products to deliver the best service possible. I will try to include a brief background about my e-com store in my page and state our goal and what makes us different from others!

Homepage research

Image
Header: https://ao.com/ https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/ These website headers have similar concept, including eye-catching sentences and pictures in the header is quite popular as it is the most thing that will affect the costumer in taking the decision of continuing to shop in this particular website or not. So, these websites have "Top deals" and "Delicious deals" phrases to attract people's attention and show that shopping in their website is a bargain. I'll try to include similar phrases and pictures in my website. Footer: https://ao.com/ https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/ Website homepage footers are quite similar in both websites, they both include contact info and additional info for customers who are looking for specific things in it. However, I would include some social media links and contact info in my website's footer.

Added few more pages as shown (Shop, FAQ, Support, etc.). In the next part of this journey I will start editing rest of the pages and start importing product on the site.
